All-Star staff is very kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. Very helpful. They go the extra mile to make sure that they are providing you with the correct information for your car. they were so nice. My husband was changing the transmission or before escape 2008 and the piece he was buying able to get it so they helped him finding a part. They're also they're very patient about us picking up the car from them. in addition they are extremely patient because my husband asked so many questions kept calling them but they were very very patient and they did a great job. If you need work on your transmission, that's the place to go. Their prices are fair. They were willing to work with you. They are also very knowledgeable and their customer care is Great.

Top notch place. My regular mechanic had given up on trying to fix a transmission problem with my truck. Said I had to "live with it". Found All-star, and Chris fixed it first time and at a reasonable cost. Works like new. Don't waste your time anywhere else if you have a transmission problem.

Heading home one day after work, my transmission decided that shifting gears wasn't a thing anymore. Devastated and heartbroken, it looked like the end of my ride. Behold Chris and his team! They took the time to actually fix and rebuild the transmission! And did it at half the cost I was being told to replace it! With a rebuilt unit! Shifts smoother than ever! I cannot say enough about this transmission place. I've been dealing with this place since the early 1990s. Chris the owner is a great man honest sincere and gets the job done. Super shop. They rebuilt the TH200 transmission on my 79 Chevy in little over a week. Feels crispy and responsive As of 2025 the transmission is doing very good. Just had them rebuild my 7.5 axle with a TrueTrac and add a few goodies

I cannot say enough good things about Chris and his business. I was toward the end of a very long road trip and having some serious issues with my car. On a Saturday morning when he was already slammed, and on his anniversary no less, Chris took the time to look at and drive my car with me, give me his diagnosis, and advise me on next steps. When I got to my destination and took the car into a local specialist, they confirmed everything Chris had said. His judgment was spot-on and he really went out of his way to help me and get me safely to where I was going. And his office manager/receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful to me as well. I will never forget their generosity, compassion, and how they helped me when I really needed it. Thank you!

This is literally the best car shop I've ever been, transmission shop to be more specific. Mr. Chris is one gentleman who's been in business for over 40 years, kind and willing to help. On top of his extremely busy schedule, he took his time explaining in great details on my car situation, showing me all evidence, did a test drive with me, and wrote me a detailed quote recording the process. Maria at front desk was amazing too. I highly recommend this transmission shop.

True professionals. Honest and will tell you what you need and not just trying to make a large sale. Had 2013 Acura RDX and had transmission switch fixed. Had 2017 Ram 1500 and noticed transmission jump. Took it in and they reprogrammed it free or charge. Highly recommend and avoid costly trips to a dealer.

Chris deserves 5 stars, but his front end woman Maria is arguably the worst front end person ever. Should have expected it with my first phone call when she chastised me for wanting to ask a question before scheduling. Anyway, Chris is extremely knowledgeable and fair. As for Maria, I walked in, saw my car outside, asked if it was finished Barked about my name as if she never saw me before. Then went on about not knowing if it was, tried to speak, and she told me to have a seat, have a seat, have a seat literally lol. Said she has to ask Chris. Sat for 15 minutes, asked her again, all I want to know is if it's done. Says again she has to ask Chris, I said he's walking around in the shop, to which she says, why didn't you tell me lolol, because ummm, I don't work here. She goes into a rant about, she's in the middle, she doesn't know blah blah. Bear in mind, this is the woman that took all my info, went out to my car to get vehicle info off the door jam, and told me she'd make room the night before to drop it off. At one point, here it comes lol, she says you're not the only customer, Bingo, YAHTZEE, the #1 thing you should never say to a customer. I advised I sat here quietly for 15 minutes without an answer. She storms into the shop to grab Chris and tells me he'll have to drop everything to talk to you lolol. Finally spoke to Chris, he explained what was going on, went the extra mile to check programming and I was on my way. Excellent work, highly knowledgeable with the worst front end imaginable. People don't realize, this is your first contact and what people judge you by. Chris has enough a good rep to maintain, but I can only imagine the business he's lost because of her. I was a manger for 30 years, I would have fired her on day one, rehired her so I could fire her again. Bear in mind when you walk in here.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank Chris (and Maria) for the professionalism and quality of work performed on my older ( but sentimental) 1994 BMW 325-I. The transmission was replaced and the car finally rode great again ! I had the transmission rebuilt 3 times prior (Aamco, and another "reputable" shop in Brooklyn on Utica Ave.) However, the repairs never seemed to last over 1-2 years, and the slipping would re-occur. I was about to give up when a neighbor referred me to All Star transmission and to Chris. They are very busy, so it can take some time, but the end result is a quality job done right. I went to Ford for a diagnosis for my truck due to some slipping between gears. The lead mechanic told me that I needed to rebuild my transmission and charge me over $7k. I took it to Chris at Allstar and he originally was going to charge me far less than what Ford quoted me. Chris informed me that all I needed was a transmission service and charged me $300. Where Ford was going to charge me thousands, Chris did it for hundreds. Chris is honest and an expert at what he does. He's my transmission guy going forward and would highly recommend him. It's difficult to find someone who is honest, trustworthy and has the level of expertise as Allstar Transmission. Big thanks to Don at Autolab Tech in Hawthorne for the recommendation.

Chris and his staff are nothing but the best. They took somewhat of a challenging project and within a week had us back on the road flawlessly. The truck had a cracked transmission case and was extremely difficult to find one. Inside of a week the truck had a rebuilt transmission with a new case along with a new clutch and new hydraulics. Very professional. Answered all my questions and very quick repair time turnaround, worth the wait to bring my car in. They are busy because they are worth it. I have a 2008 BMW 328i. I took it to a BMW specialist who wanted to charge me double (almost $6000 with no guarantee and kept my car for a week for just an estimate) When I had questions they were answered quickly and courteously. Great to have peace of mind with the warranty. I had repairs done in with past cars and never had any problems. They care about the work they do and stand by it. Honesty is hard to find. Didn't feel as a women taken advantage of. Thanks to Chris and crew for saving my 12 year old car from the junkyard.

Allstars Transmission was recommended to me by my uncle when I was having 4WD issues. My 2003 Chevrolet 2500HD was not engaging 4WD and I thought it may have been transfer case related.
